Around the World in Six Glasses: Los Vinos Blancos de España
Since we covered Spanish red wines last month, this month we’ll be focusing on white wines from Spain. Often considered the lesser wines of Iberia, Spanish whites are typically crisp, tart, and uber-refreshing, perfect for springtime and the scorching sun of the summer.

A Very Special Wine Tasting Event with Kenneth Volk Vineyards
Ken Volk was the founder and original winemaker of the Wild Horse Winery in Paso Robles, which he sold in 2003 to head south to Santa Maria and start another wine label under his own name. He is also a member of our Mt. Rushmore of Forgotten Grapes due to his love and decades working with what he calls “heirloom” varietals. We’ll be joined in studio by Barbara Smith, National Sales Manager of Ken Volk Vineyards, who’ll be pouring six of Ken’s favorite Forgotten Grape wines, most of which are only available at their tasting room (and here at Chris Kern’s Forgotten Grapes).

One-Day Contra-Temecula Wine Tour (with lunch!)
Join us on this one-day wine tour of three great South County wineries that ring the Temecula valley but are as different from those wineries as night and day (or good and bad). We’ll be visiting and tasting at Roadrunner Ridge Winery in Rainbow, and Woodworth Vineyards and Boorman Vineyards, in De Luz. Plus lunch at the Callaway Winery, and Chris Kern are your designated driver!

Forgotten Grapes Vegan Wine Dinner with Chef Whitney Simpson
Chef Whitney Simpson returns for another edition of the always-sold-out Forgotten Grapes Vegan Wine Dinner. This time, Whitney will be selecting fresh springtime produce from locally sourced gardens and producers and whipping the ingredients into five delectable gourmet vegan courses you’d never know don’t have meat in them. And as always, we’ll be pairing each course up with a very special and delicious vegan Forgotten Grape wine.
